Jared lives and takes photos in Portland, Oregon... unless an All-Star Game or special event takes him elsewhere. In 2021, he was happy to back at a ballpark, photographing the High-A West league from Opening Day in Hillsboro, OR, through the last game of the Championship Series in Spokane, WA. His photos have appeared on MLB.com, MiLB.com, MLB Pipeline, and The Athletic, as well as on baseball cards and scoreboards around the Minor Leagues.

He was commissioned to photograph the 2019 and 2021 Rose Cup for Pro Drive Racing and also photographed panoramas used for the set backings for the second season of the Hulu TV show Shrill.

Jared was hired by MLB.com to cover the Chicago Cubs in a game at Dodger Stadium in 2002, became a full-time employee and has worked for Major League Baseball for 18 seasons. During that span, he has been a sportswriter, editor, producer, and software engineer.

He is currently a Senior Software Engineer for MLB's Baseball Data Front-End Development team, which is responsible for Gameday, Stats, Scores, Standings, Schedules, Player Pages and other components in the MLB.com/MiLB.com universe.

Jared began shooting Minor League Baseball in 2014 after having spent 3 years producing the Dodgers.com photo galleries and learning from the best baseball photographers in Los Angeles (and beyond). Since then, he's photographed Major League and Minor League baseball in Oregon, Washington, Utah, Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, California and Texas.

From capturing Major League All-Stars to Minor League Top Prospects and Draft Picks, down to Little Leaguers, baseball is in Jared's DNA.
